1. The airplane on the left has "Monocoupe" on its side. According to Wikipedia, the Monocoupe Corporation was founded in July 1934. The airplane on the right is labeled U.S. ARMY / CURTISS 0 1B / A.C 27-273. This is a variety of the Curtiss Falcon, "a family of military biplane aircraft built by the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company during the 1920s. Most saw service as part of the United States Army Air Corps as observation aircraft ... or as the attack aircraft designated the A-3 Falcon." (Wikipedia).
